Here are links to custom cars, Stunts mods and other files of interest. Some of these are links to external download pages; these are highlighted with a wine background.

Stunts Broderbund 1.1 DSI Inc. ZakStunts distributes the de facto standard version of Stunts for competitions, with a few cars and add-ons bundled. A number of other tools can be found in their downloads page.
4D Sports Driving (1991 release) Mindscape 1.1 (Feb 25 1991) DSI Inc. The once thought lost 1991 version of 4D Driving, brought to light thanks to Marco and GTAMan15. The differences with respect to the better known versions haven’t been fully documented yet, so it is quite possible you’ll find something new by giving it a spin!
DOSBox 0.74 (as of 2011-03-08) DOSBox Team The emulator which makes it possible to run Stunts on modern systems. Guides on DOSBox configuration can be found through this Stunts Wiki article.
stressed 2021-03-07 snapshot release (post-0.2.1) dstien The modding tool for Stunts, which made most of the mods here possible. The link leads to the Windows binary; the sources can be found at GitHub.
Bliss 2.6.1 Cas An external track editor with a focus on user-friendliness, Bliss is the first serious alternative to the venerable TrackBlaster in a long while. This package includes Windows, Linux and DOS versions. Formerly known as Cas-Stunts. If you need help with running or using Bliss, head over to its forum topic. Simple Garage 2.1 (rev. 2023-02-02) Cas A simple yet powerful CLI car manager for Stunts. It allows rotating cars in and out of the game directory to work around the 32-car limit, either one by one or in user-specified groups. This package includes Windows, Linux and DOS versions.
diffcar 0.1.0.0 (as of 2024-01-28) Duplode A tool which produces Stunts-aware, nicely formatted comparsions between CAR*.RES files. It is useful, for instance, to detect changes when looking at different versions of a car. The link points to the releases page on GitHub, which offers Windows and Linux binaries.
Stunts Cartography 1.1.0 (as of 2024-01-13) Duplode Power tools for track map generation. Cartography allows for generating SVG and high resolution PNG maps, specifying map annotations textually, rendering game data extracted from replays, and much more. The link points to the releases page on GitHub, which offers Windows binaries. Alternatively, Cartography can be compiled from the sources for other platforms.
repldump 2013-02-10 release dstien A restunts-powered tool for exporting game state data generated from a replay. Usage notes will be added in due course; meanwhile, see the relevant forum post.
StuntsCarSwapper 0.1; r. 1 Duplode A basic GUI car manager I wrote many years ago, which has been largely superseded by Simple Garage. In particular, though the car swapping feature remains fully functional, some custom cars don’t have their names loaded correctly on the interface. Requires the Java Runtime to be installed in your system.
JRPLInfo 0.1; r. 1 Duplode A new take on the replay information viewer theme. To the usual RPLInfo feature set, JRPLInfo adds directory browsing, extensible car information tables, penalty time and car bonus corrections and basic support for scoreboard and .HIG generation. The link provides the Java “executable”; a source-only package is also available.

Custom cars

Note: I recommend also checking if you can find the car you are looking for at https://www.markceccato.com/ (look for the “Stunts Custom Cars” link), which includes a different selection than the one here, as well as graphical bug fixes for some cars.

To install any of these, unpack all of the files into your Stunts folder. More detailed instructions may be available in bundled readme files. Note these cars will work correctly with the 1991 version of Stunts, as well as with both PC versions of 4D Sports Driving, but not with 1990 Stunts.

Ford Ranger 1.6.1 cody H A tuned ’88 Ford Ranger. This is the version distributed by ZakStunts in 2009 and 2010.
Speedgate XSD Rev. 3 Mark L. Rivers H Mark’s masterpiece. This racing beast is as amazing to handle as the so-called “cheat cars”; unlike most of them, however, it requires refined technique to be taken to its limit. This version is the same distributed by ZakStunts from 2009 to 2012.
Melange XGT-88 19th Anniversary Edition Alan Rotoi H Alan’s much-loved machine is a timeless classic with a long and proud history in prestigious contests. It is an IMSA racer with more than a few twists to spice it up. This 19th anniversary update is replay-compatible with all previous releases of the Melange.
Xylocaine XF Rev. 1 Crazy Jimmy H A distinctively tuned sports car. Very pleasant to drive, too.
Superkart 1.1 Overdrijf H A cute, buzzing and very agile kart. Perfect for a bash with your friends.
Toyota Corolla AE92 GTi Rev. 1 Zapper S A late eighties Corolla hatch. Exquistely modelled from actual performance data by Zapper, author of the venerable “Tuned For Real” modpack.
Toyota Sprinter Trueno Rev. 1 Zapper H One for the street racers, drifters and the rest of the NFSU crew.
Lotus Esprit Turbo SE Rev. 1 Zapper H Remember Test Drive II? What about the Lotus Challenges? So… why not Stunts as well? :)
Ferrari F40 1.0 Zapper H About time something was done about the misleading image in the replay control bar!
Porsche 911 Turbo (964 3.3) Rev. 1 Zapper H Zapper’s 911 Turbo from the “Tuned For Real” package, now with a proper visual identity.
McLaren MP4/4 1.0 Zapper H The iconic Formula One car of Alain and Ayrton.
Ikarus 260 Rev. 2 CTG S The first of CTG’s cars to be released is actually a bus! Complaints about reckless driving should be directed to your local transit authority.

Lamborghini Diablo VT (NFS3) 2024-02-11 Ryoma S 1990, the year Stunts came into being, was the final production year of the Lamborghini Countach… and also the first year of the Diablo. This version (car ID DIA3) is the Diablo VT as featured in Need For Speed III.
Porsche 959 2024-02-11 Ryoma S Porsche’s late eighties supercar, and the F40’s archrival.
Citroën CX 25 GTI Turbo 2021-02-16 Ryoma S A sleek executive fastback in its sport variant.
Ferrari 288 GTO 2021-02-16 Ryoma and Zapper S A revamp of the GTO, with new graphics by Ryoma and the peformance data from Zapper’s Tuned for Real series.
Lamborghini Bravo 2021-05-05 Ryoma, Daniel3D and Cas S Go for a ride on the car from Stunts’ intro! The 3D model was extracted and made into a working car. It has been identified with the Lamborghini Bravo, a Gandini concept car from the seventies.
Lancia Thema 8.32 2022-01-03 Ryoma S A Ferrari-powered executive sedan. This is the car to which Stunts’ Delta dashboard rightfully belongs to.
Jaguar XJR9 LM 2021-03-04 Ryoma S The Le Mans-winning XJR9. Retuned and dressed in the Silk Cut Livery.
Maserati Shamal 2022-06-26 Ryoma S A Maserati grand tourer from the nineties.
StockCar Nascar 2021-02-28 Ryoma S Converted from Mario Andretti’s Racing Challenge, a DSI game contemporary to Stunts.
Turbo (Roadie) 2021-02-28 Ryoma S The car from the French-American cartoon Pole Position.
Ferrari Pinin 2021-03-06 Ryoma S A Pinifarina luxury sedan concept from 1980, and the first four-door Ferrari. See also Ryoma’s car creation tutorial built around it.
Porsche 962C Le Mans 2023-02-01 Ryoma S The Le Mans version of the 962. Retuned and featuring the Dauer 962 colour scheme.
Audi Quattro Sport S1 2021-11-04 Ryoma S The first Group B version of the Quattro.
Fiat 500 Abarth 2021-08-11 Kubby and Ryoma S A hot hatch edition of the diminutive 500.

Bugatti EB 110 2024-01-20 Ryoma S Bugatti’s supercar from the marque’s nineties revival. This version (car ID EB11) has the regular EB 110 dashboard.

Lancia Stratos 2022-05-04 Ryoma S A celebrated rally car from the mid-70’s, the Stratos offers an interesting take on the theme in Stunts. This is the version featured in the ZakStunts 2024 car pack, which includes graphical updates by Ryoma.

First generation custom cars

A selection of custom cars from the early days of Stunts modding, affectionately known as “cheat cars”. As these cars predate Stressed, they don’t have custom graphics (at least not yet).

Skoda Felicia Kompressor 2000-03-02 Mr Eriksson H About as overpowered as it can get while still feeling like a car, the Skoda has the distinction of being the only old-school cheat car to have featured at ZakStunts.

Miscellaneous mods

To install any of these, backup the original files (if existing) and put the files into your Stunts folder overwriting if needed. Note that for .3SH or .VSH graphics files you will need to move away any .P3S or .PVS files sharing the file name from the Stunts folder so that the new files are loaded.

Lamborghini Diablo VT (NFS) 2024-02-11 Ryoma S This version of the Diablo VT (car ID DIA4) has dashboard graphics matching those from The Need For Speed. It is otherwise identical to DIA3.
Bugatti EB 110 (“Proto”) 2023-02-25 Ryoma S This version of the EB110 (car ID EB1W) has wood finish on the dashboard controls.
